Flowing Hair Cutting

I was surfing the net, looking for pictures of women, women with long flowing hair, to do a cutting. I came across all sorts of things, but this one of Evangeline Lily spoke to me. I really wanted to do a cutting that had a lot of hair and detail, so I took this:

And after doing the paper cutting, I ended up with this. Again, this is cut from one sheet of paper and anchored down on another piece.

What an incredible talent. I even made my husband look through your slide shows. I have just gotten into papercutting myself. I, unlike you, have never been an "artist" or very good at seeing shading and shadows but I am trying to work more with pictures. This gives me so much more inspiration than the standard profile portrait. Your cuttings are great.

I love the cuttings that you have added to your slideshow. Those are really good. Are you mostly doing your cuttings on black paper with white background? Do you use scissors or an exacto knife? Just curious. I am very impressed and enjoy your work. I dabble but do not have the developed talent that you have.
Take care.

Oh, and to answer your question on my blog I am above Atlanta, near Marietta Georgia. I haven't been on the computer much lately.
